Extended Portrait Sittings
As part of my pro bono work at Emanuel Hospital’s NICU, I was excited to photograph Charlotte and Oliver while they were patients there. That session was so enjoyable that I continued to photograph these children once a month throughout their first year.
Sometimes subtle, sometimes stunning, watching these children change from month to month was a new perspective for me as a photographer. Usually I am afforded the opportunity to photograph families from year to year; this project presented me the chance to document changes from month to month.
At their first birthday, Charlotte and Oliver's parents and I realized we enjoyed the project so much that we continue to work together, now getting together seasonally to record the children’s growth.
